| Dr. Lori Hart Ebert - Keynote Speaker 2010 Leadership Academy |
|
The opening keynote this year will be delivered by Dr. Lori Hart Ebert. The interactive session, “Making Fraternity Life Great,” will be an adapted version of her award-winning “Making Greek Great” program. This session will use survey responses collected by participants before the academy to address the challenges facing fraternity leaders. Dr. Ebert will challenge participants to raise their own expectations of fraternity life, to recruit the best students on campus, and to become the role models of leadership they were intended to be. The Friday keynote will be delivered by Mary Ann Callais. Her program “From Ritual to Reality” will be customized for SEIFC to specifically address the manner in which fraternity leaders can use their rituals as a guide in moving their organizations and communities forward. Finally, the team from Phired Up Productions will be on hand to talk to academy participants about “The Real World of Fraternity Recruitment.” This session, delivered on Saturday afternoon, will give participants a chance to make application of the information covered in the CORE Recruitment Sessions, which Phired Up will also be coordinating, in the development of a community recruitment plan. “We are thrilled with this year’s lineup of keynote speakers,” said Victor Felts, SEIFC Executive Director. “These are not the same canned programs you may hear at a conference or on campus. Every single program session this year will be custom-tailored to address our theme of helping fraternity men in the Southeast understand the real challenges of leadership.” The 2010 Conference is approaching this February 11th - 13th, be sure to register by clicking here. |
