| CORE Program Remains Centerpiece of SEIFC Programming |
|
A vital component of the SEIFC Leadership Academy for the last two years, the CORE (Council Officer Roundtables and Education) program has continued its growth and development this year and will again play a major role at the 2010 Leadership Academy. SEIFC developed the CORE curriculum in order to develop clear learning objectives based on core competencies identified in various council leadership positions. In the last two years, intensive training has taken place for council presidents, vice presidents, treasurers, recruitment directors, judicial directors and public relations chairs. In addition to these programs, this year will feature CORE sessions for IFC delegates and risk management officers. “The CORE program is the most progressive, high quality training available for IFC officers,” said Victor Felts, SEIFC Executive Director. “We have an incredible curriculum and a talented group of facilitators. A campus that is looking to provide opportunities for their officers to improve on the competencies related to their positions should look no further than the CORE program.
